PLC on Google Classroom

Google Classroom is great tool to make your class paperless and implement engaging technology.  For those who are not quite to Alice Keeler's level (I wish I was, She Rocks!), a good place to start is implementing Google Classroom in your PLC or department meetings.  Department leaders can use Google Classroom to distribute data, articles, talking points, videos and a myriad of other meeting related items.  This can be useful to extend the meeting beyond the scheduled time.

Google Classroom can be a place where collaboration happens at all hours.  With Google Classroom now allowing more than one "teacher", multiple department members may be involved in coordinating the collaboration.   After getting comfortable with the interface with colleagues, you may then feel confident using Google Classroom with students.

Below is a sample Google Classroom PLC.

The Google Classroom PLC above meets every Wednesday and the Department Lead posts the agenda, articles and videos used during the meeting.

I hope this has been helpful and if you have any comments, suggestions or ways to improve it, leave me a comment or send me an email (ajuarez@cojusd.org).
